A unique evening with the Israeli Illustrator Noma Bar, who uses the “Negative and positive
spaces” technique (creating several images in one) to its best effect when dealing with social
and political issues.
Subjects such as nuclear warfare, corporate greed and national identity are illustrated with a
hidden twist of humour. His portraits merge the subject's features, with images that epitomise
their fame, to form an instantly recognisable face.
Born in Israel, Noma Bar graduated in 2000 from the Bezalel Academy of Art & Design with a
B.DES Bachelor of Graphic & Type Design. Since based in London in 2001, he has worked for
The Guardian, BBC, The Observer, The Economist, V&A Museum and many more.
Tickets: Club members £15, guests £25.
The event is in Hebrew.
